• The Stainton Way crossing – 922 signatures collected, the council lobbied and after many months of hard work, a traffic-light crossing built to provide a safe way to cross Stainton way by foot, and for parents and children in the mornings and afternoons, when previously they would have to dash into traffic, sometimes with pushchairs.
• Zebra Crossing at Brass castle Lane, where it meets Stokesley Road, providing a safer crossing at a dangerous junction, also helping when children are walking home and back into the Eagle Park area.
• Lobbying the council to get a bus service to the Parkway Centre, to help elderly residents and those without access to a car, a way to reach the vital services at the Parkway Centre. Unfortunately the funds for this are no longer available from the council, and the service was withdrawn.
David is now campaigning to improve the local bus service to town as well as parking facilities for persons using the local railway station.
If you have an idea for a new campaign, or if you have a smaller problem, please leave David a message or send him an email, and he will he back to you as soon as possible.
